What you are using is the Windows 10 Mail App. You should make this very clear when asking as it gets very confusing referring to another application.

All you can do with a right click is "Move to Junk", I assume that also marks it as Junk.

You can also sign in to the Webmail interface to Outlook Email, and there use the Junk Menu item to select "Junk" or "Phishing scam".
The Account > Cog > Options gives you further options for junk email.

Ok - thanks for the info. I have made note of that for future reference.

What was being phased out was the old look / format for Live, MSN, Hotmail and early adopters of Outlook.com. Now its new and improved.

I think they are calling the new look the Office 365 look, likely to get away from the mass confusion when some says Outlook and no one knows if they mean hammer or screw driver.

Log into your account through a browser, it won't harm your app. Check out the options by clicking on gear. You will see it is jammed packed, they had to compete with Gmail. Click on an email and you will see junk across the top. You can build rules, block people and domains and you can set up sweep rules.

Thanks but I'll just let it ride. I'm a not too tech savvy senior who thought my original question would have a straight forward solution. I guess there is no such thing. I'm almost sorry I asked the question.

    Thanks to all contributors.
