Edge Favourites - Won't cascade after first folder

    Hi,

Hope someone can help with this problem.

I am having another look at using edge and have come across this strange issue where, when you click on a folder on the favourites bar and the choose another folder, it doesn't open that folder it opens the side bar on the right and not always at the one I just chose. I hope this is something I can fix and not another "feature"

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

Does anyone have any knowledge of this issue or a fix?

    Thanks

There is no fix, that is just the way Edge behaves. There is no nesting of folders within folders on the Favourite bar I'm afraid.

There's no nesting of folders in the Start menu either, just the one folder level is used. Seems to be Microsoft's chosen style for all things 'Windows 10' I'm afraid.

Then it is what it is. I'll try and get used to it, but it's not handy. I had forgot about the start menu... Thanks for your replies

Like VooDoo I've been trying another look at using Edge & have puzzled over this. Since I use a lot of nested folders in Firefox, I'm afraid Edge has just lost the battle again..

... but it bears repeating that you *can* have nested folders in the vertical Favorites Pane (the thing that appears on the right-hand side)

Kind of makes the Favourites bar more of a decorative feature rather than a useful one though? I mean if you end up in the side pane from the bar, why bother with the bar in the first place....

    Oh well, I tried.
