Don't know about other Email Clients since I only use WLM and it works perfectly.

Just give them a try and see if they work. I would imagine Thunderbird would work. WlM hasn't been updated since 2012 so I'm not to sure about using a no longer developed program.

I've used Thunderbird for several years now with no problems. I was using it starting with, if I recall, XP, and then I went to Windows 7 with it. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, all of this with Thunderbird. No problems.

Yes, eMclient is quite nice and the only free option if you need EAS support (exchange active sync). I also use Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail and Outlook 2013 on Windows 10.

WLM is still fine for Outlook.com/Hotmail and Gmail. I've heard though that DeltaSync is being phased out and IMAP worked poorly for my Outlook.com account.

Outlook 2013 has EAS support for outlook.com/hotmail and works fine, but of course is $$$.

Thunderbird works fine for Gmail too.

Thunderbird in conjunction with Pop Peeper (reverts to freeware after 30 days) Both work fine. Pop Peeper http://www.esumsoft.com/products/pop-peeper/

    I use "Postbox"
    It's a great email client.
It costs under £10, which is a small fee for such an excellent piece of software.

I've used the Win 7 hack and now have Vista Windows Mail working, but I find it disappointing that all the email clients except Incredimail lack one very useful feature: a notification area icon that can audibly ding you when mail arrives, even when the mail client is closed.
Some offer that but only partially and while they are open.

I'd use my Incredimail licenses to install IM 2.5 which is supposed to be compatible, but they have ruined the look that their old IncrediMail XE had in their latest versions, just too gaudy for my taste.
