I use it as my primary browser. When I first started using it (on an early Insider edition) I wasn't thrilled with it. But I kept using it and except for one site that I still need I.E. (due to a printing issue) its my primary browser. I also have FF but it has very limited use.

I tried Microsoft Edge immediately after I installed Windows 10 Pro over a year ago and it was quite apparent Microsoft threw out a Version 0.0.001 release. The last time I checked a week or so ago, it appears Microsoft is up to Version 0.0.004. At that rate, it's liable to be thousands of years before we get to Version 1.0.000. I won't be here for that event.

Internet Explorer 11 wasn't running as well on my computer after the recent Windows 10 Anniversary Update, so on August 18, 2016, I decided to give Google Chrome a try for the first time ever. I am dumbfounded how much better it is than Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge. I doubt I will ever even look at Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge again. Now I know why Google is mopping up in the browser category.

Tried it, but can't install any of the available extensions, so goodbye Edge. I stick with Firefox and Chrome. Chrome only for series and American Football.

I've played with Edge from time to time but still use FF for everything. My feeling regarding Edge has been the same for a long time. It has potential to be a decent browser but it's not there yet. With the Anniversary Update, Edge now has extensions but there are very few available. Edge has a long way to go before I would consider using it in lieu of FF.

I bet in time when chrome extension developers get around to it they'll port them over to Edge. MS has provided tools to simplify the process.

Link only works in Edge, and opens up the Store app: Edge Extension Toolkit

    Description

This tool is created to help extension developers with their development process. It doesn't mean the extension will be published to Windows Store. The toolkit allows developer to convert a Chrome extension to run on Microsoft Edge in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (14393.10) edition. The tool creates the necessary JSON manifest entries and bridges the chrome.* APIs to the browser.* APIs supported on Microsoft Edge, polyfiling where necessary.

Edge and Chrome are notorious for hogging up RAM. That's why I use Firefox and even IE instead.

I switch between Edge and FF, mainly because of Roboform. I can have the Roboform toolbar in FF, tried it in Chrome but could only have the Icon showing in the right corner which took extra clicks to get to my log ins.

The other problem I had, although that seems to be getting better in FF, there are a couple of games I play in Facebook, Bubble Witch Saga, Candy Crush Soda etc. trying to play them in FF or Chrome was nigh on impossible, clicking on a box and the lag was terrible it was all so slow and jerky but they all ran smooth and fast in Edge.

If they get the ability to have my Roboform toolbar extension I'd probably stick with Edge. Oh and another thing, I'm usually a decent speller and when in forums via Edge if I do spell something wrong it will highlight it and a right click gives me the choice to pick the correct word. When doing the same in FF even though I have it ticked to check the spelling as I type it doesn't and words I know are wrong don't give the chance to change them or does it tell me they are wrong so if I'm in doubt I have to copy the word and paste it into Wordweb to find the correct spelling.
