I have gone back to ie11 due to scroll bar hiding, is there a way of locking Spartan scroll bar visible
The vanishing scroll bar is global, all apps will have it - take a look at settings as an example.

I thought I found something that might help in about:config ... scrolling, but toggling the two available settings did not affect the scroll bar's vanishing act

It's going to take a while for the bleeding Edge to be ready-for-prime-time, so we'll have to wait and see what MS provides. Have you fed MS with a suggestion? They're always hungry for more

Yeah, they keep asking me if I'm gonna recommend Spartan/Edge to my friends and I keep telling 'em, "Not yet."

    Good, keep feeding them

I figured things are changing so why not go with the flow. I decided to play with Chrome while I wait for Edge to stop crashing/hanging and gets more options added (history and downloads would be nice).

MS keeps asking me if I' recommend Chrome to people ... I reply "It's just a browser! They all work well enough. I let people pick the one they like - no recommendations on non-critical software."

    How's Star?

I've had the question of "will you recommend Firefox, Chrome and Edge" and my answer is usually, "Yes" to Chrome and Firefox and "Not yet" to Edge." :)

StarFerret has confiscated my RCA 11.6" tablet for herself and is in the Android newsgroups. :) She's testing Office for Android.

They should have called it Sonic (the hedgehog ) to match the logo.

At one time I was able to use Edge, but now it refuses to load anything. Here's a screenshot of just opening it up; I didn't choose where it should go.

Well, it seems as if uploading a screenie isn't supposed to happen this morning. I'll give it one more try.

It actually worked the first time, and gave me four copies of the final above! Edit is my friend!

My Internet is extremely slow and the repairman won't be here until Monday so things don't work as they should right now!

    Hi there

If you have any servers (usually multimedia) such as PLEX / Logitech media server etc which require a web interface for settings / control you'll find Spartan doesn't work as you can't specify localhost or IP addresses such as 127.0.0.1 -- there's no where to configure Spartan / Edge to allow these through either.

    Cheers

This is "by design". You can run a powershell command to enable the functionality. Maybe they will add a configuration for it, who knows...

Mystere I had to laugh at your "by design" in quotes. A thread I'm following in the Microsoft community about not being able to delete past unwanted Apps from the Store and just keeping what you want/might want to reinstall later how to delete the history of uninstalled apps in win 8 store, had this comment a few days ago:

Rick When I originally posted my complaint about deleting un-needed apps from my account, I had no idea what a following I was going to have, all of them unhappy about the same issue. What is hilarious is that an MCSE will occasionally add a comment to the blog, which is in this thread several times stating in effect, "This is by design". That is the first thing that MS training teaches a MCSE candidate. Ever since Windows 98 if something is screwed up MS response is "This is by design"

@jimbo45 I have a media server and use a loopback manager. My server is on a W8.1 Box so I am not sure if it will work with Spartan. Here is a link where I posted about it
