IMO Spartan was released early so we could help MS find bugs. Spartan is going to be updated with fixes and features as it progresses. We just need to give MS more time.

I think they simply sent us bugs so we could help them find Spartan.

I am not surprised. Maybe it's like IE. Just disable under "Turn Windows Features On And Off"? Just a wild guess. I am away from the PC.

Not in "On or Off" either It looks like we are stuck with it unless you go through the OS and manually delete all the Spartan items.

Hey it's bloody fast though, runs nicely on my SP3. Very nice and smooth.
Features are patchy and disabled/buggy though yes.

Definitely holds promise. Don't stuff this up MSFT!!!

Early preview of the developer tools looked annoying, but it was locked, can't really say yet.

Frankly, no sarcasm to you, I am not surprised it is fast - it has no useable features yet, to speak of. Holds promise? Those dozens of programming experts, from the largest IT organisation in the world, have been "developing " this for 6 months or even more. This is the best they can throw at us for examination??

I've given up testing it as it is just too raw. But after a few more versions I might give it some more time!

Doing the same thing.. it's too early in it's development to really test it out properly.

I think you're right. I think they threw a 'diaper' version at us to play with. It doesn't even show up in the apps list! ...
IE and File Explorer aren't in that list either Edwin. There are other apps missing from the list as well such as Notepad, Wordpad, etc... It seems that list only contains items that can be uninstalled.
