Spartan seems better in the 10061 build. More options in settings and the favorite bar is not cut off.

Good to know... with luck it's going to be functional when it hits the street.

I was also looking for a Home Button.

Since there's no Home button, I simply put a shortcut on the Favorites bar pointing to my desired Home page and labeled it "Home".

I could understand(a little) if they get rid of home... I have found myself lately just right clicking the browser icon and going directly to a pinned site and from there using my bookmarks, and for searching just using the address bar. Only once in a while will I go to my homepage(the Bing homepage).

    Build 10061

Anyone else come across where Spartan in the new build is crashing every time they open it? It worked at first but then I changed the default website to BING and now it crashes all the time and cannot find a way to fix it.

There are many reasons why Spartan would crash but putting Bing as a default should not be a problem. Different users have different issues with Windows 10 as a whole. You may need to do a clean install of 10061.

On a personal note, Welcome to Ten Forums! Enjoy!

Is Microsoft’s Spartan browser really becoming a contender? Ghacks
Neowin compared Spartan's performance to that of Google Chrome on Windows 10 recently and came to the conclusion that Spartan is beating Chrome at its own game.
Spartan gets an additional boost if performance related features such as asm.js are enabled on the browser's about:flags page. Regardless of that, it is matching Chrome and Firefox performance wise on Windows 10.

No surprise Spartan is leading the benchmark tests. It has very minimal features in it at this point. It has full of muscles but it can't do much. It's like a body builder who can lift the heaviest weights but can't lift his fingers to do laundry. :)

This is true. Browsers are much more than a portal to the internet these days.
