Every time I try to open a link or a document, my PC auomatically uses edge. I can seldom see the document or link. It stops working and the page is blank. How can I og baco to using IE only?

Assuming it's a web link that you are opening (and not something like a direct link to a PDF document), goto Windows Settings > System > Default Apps > and set the Web Browser to open with Internet Explorer, instead of Microsoft Edge.

That should be it, however if for some reason hyperlinks still don't open in Internet Explorer, goto 'Choose Default Applications By Protocol' and check what HTTP and HTTPS are set to open in.

You can find a tutorial with more detailed info here:

If it's a PDF document/link that you are having problems with, then you can install the PDF reader you were using to read PDF's beforehand (if it isn't already installed) as they're set to open in Microsoft Edge by default. And similar to above, check what PDF files are set to open in by going to 'Choose Default Applications by File Type'.
