What is "Preparing Security Options" when trying to End Task?
What does "Preparing Security Options" mean when trying to use "End Task"?
Today the browser was very VERY slow and crashed continually (grrrr). It was very difficult to get "End Task" to function at all, and each time this was tried, the screen read "Preparing Security Options".
Also, "End Task" did not function normally. I had to right click somewhere and then select a way to actually shut down the browser.
Any info and/or advice appreciated.
I purchased a hp pavilion laptop a few months ago with Windows 10 pre-installed.
I haven't used it for a few days, turned it on this evening and I got a message on boot up saying
"preparing automatic repairs" and then my screen goes...
I have a fully functioning Windows 8.1 machine, genuine, activated that works without any issues.
The problem is the fact that I cannot install Windows 10 because update fails every time; disregarding occasional failures during download process,...
So I finally made a .iso file for W10 Pro x64 and started installing it. Everything went smoothly my PC restarted 2 times. But when it got to 81% (in total) while "Installing drivers and features" it resterted for the third time and then it started...
Why is this running in the background? Is this normal?
