    Unwanted site loading

Hope this is a good place to pose this question, forgive me if it is not, this is my first time in the Forum!
Every time I load a site I am looking for another site which I accessed several days ago also loads in the background. I clearly have activated some option but I can find no way to stop the unwanted site loading.

It is all quite harmless (it is a travel advice site which loads, unbidden).

Please advise how to stop this.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Are you sure the site that loads is legitimate? Its quite common for rogues to masquerade as a legitimate site.

    What browser are you using?

    Unwanted site

    Thank you for showing interest.
Yes, I am confident the unwanted site is legitimate. It is "Trip Advisor", the page which loads is about a hotel which I was researching. It is as if the site is saying ".....I will keep this page infront of you in case you want to come back and make a booking.....". It is not much of a problem, just a niggle that I keep having to delete:switch it off.

(You can probably tell I am not highly IT savvy!).

I would try check In firefox settings and check the home page setting, maybe restore to defaults if that site is listed or just change the setting to another site
