Did the gmail sync ok after you added it to this computer ?
If yes, is this problem happened just recently ?
If yes again, do you remember a date when you did NOT have this problem ?
If yes again, please try a system restore. Pick a date when you did NOT have this problem as your restore point.
System Restore Windows 10
*** adding.......... I do think you should talk to people who use gmail . They know all the inside tricks running gmail, and the best venue is the gmail support forum ***
O.k Thanks for the suggestions, I am looking into it.......it has been suggested that it could be a security program issue.......I have Avast running, so looking into that as well, to see if it is stopping Gmail from synching.......Del
SORTED !!..........The ''Access For Less Secure Apps'' was turned off.......turned it on, and all now working fine.......thanks for the help.......Del.
Good glad you got it sorted
Happy e-mailing and windows 10
Can you mark this thread as sorted please
So other members can see it if they have trouble
This is really starting to cheese me off now........despite earlier indications that Gmail WAS working with W 10, I now discover that it has not updated for 10 hours, and is again saying that it's ''settings are out of date''......which they are NOT........sorry to be a pain, but this is doing my head in.........any other thoughts on this ?...............Del.

Did you use it ?
The folks there might have an idea or 2 for you.
Yes, I did have a look, thanks.........but it may now be sorted (again)........to beef up security, I turned on 2 step verification, apparently this does not allow turning on ''access less secure apps''......so have now turned off 2 step verification, and all seems good again.........well for now anyway...........Del.
