There is slight typo on the Edge Favorites location:
    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Def ault\Favorites

    the correct one is:

    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Def ault\Favorites

No space between Def and ault after \MicrosoftEdge\User\

No space between Def and ault!
It is not meant to have a space, it's ran out of room in the first line.
OP used it ok. It's the link OP has issue with, not accessing to it.

Well, I copied and pasted into my File Explorer and discovered a space was inserted between the Def and ault, so I just deleted the space and of course the link and the favorites are all there!

If you go back to your post #11, click the Reply with Quote button > click post quick reply.
    Examine the quote after that.
Do you see a space that is not supposed to be there ?

Unfortunately, even making the correction to 'Default', searching in Windows Explorer again returns 'no match'.

Sorry, I did not posted the comment right, it was not your typo but just a space was added both in your post and my post as well!

    That's ok. Forget about that.
Let's concentrate on helping the OP.
    Thank you.
