Windows 10: Edge Browser - Optimise Media Casting
Edge Browser - Optimise Media Casting
I've discovered one useful feature of Edge is the ability to cast video to my Sony TV. However, the playback is sometimes jerky. Is there a way optimising the playback settings when casting videos via Edge?
I also like this feature and use it to cast video, pictures and music from my study to another room via the WiFi network. Jerky playback has sometimes occurred if I am accessing the media from the internet on my PC and simultaneously sending it via the WiFi to another room but I have usually put this down to a poor internet connection which can struggle a bit in the evenings where I am. If your internet connection is good then I would check that nothing is interfering with the internal WiFi signal such as interference from electrical equipment in proximity to either the router and/or the Miracast or DLNA device you are casting too. Simply try turning things off to see if it makes any difference. I once found an LED lighting system I was trying out was emitting RF interference which kept cutting out the WiFi network (I only mention this as an example to get you thinking).
I get BSOD and restart with error IRQL not less or equal after closing browser, media player.
I have the latest Win10 build 1511 (Nov 2015) and have enabled Media Streaming. My WMP12 shows my Denon receiver in the "Cast To" drop down but it just plays tracks on my Surface Pro 2.
Any ideas? I have rebooted etc. to no effect.....
from where I can download Add-ons For Edge Browser ?
I understand the new media player in Windows 10 will cast to a media center such as an Nexus Player or Amazon Fire TV, much like Airplay, but will access local media.
Is this a Google Cast (Chrome cast), Miracast, DNLA or some other...
How do I download & install the Edge Browser?
