I use Firefox with my Linux distros and like that aspect too. Chrome/Chromium doesn't seem to work that well with linux. One just has to be careful which add-ons one uses, but that goes for all browser, right?
That's mostly because of Linux they make no money from Chromium so they don't go through any trouble adding compatibility so the end result is it's slow to startup....
Pity because Firefox sucks in Linux and Windows that I've noticed it's slower than ie.

I'll decide about Spartan after I test it. No preliminary judgment !

That's the only way to go with any new tool/software, IMO. It's going to be fun to play with it when it does finally show up. I hope it does show up in the next build and if not that one then the one after that one.

You haven't tried it yet.. how do you know it's good or bad without testing it out??

Depends what the icon looks like. If the icon is ugly I'll have to downgrade to 7 and MS probably will not bother releasing it on 7 with a nice icon.

So, you're going to judge the functionality of a browser by the ICON?? Ok..

Certainly not - that would be silly - if they can't make a nice icon I'll have to kick out the whole OS.

Seriously though if you enable the experimental web platform features in about:flags (which uses the new engine I believe) you can't download anything even from MS without reloading in compatibility mode (emet, Office 16 etc). I've not done a full audit of the entire web but MS sites seem to act worse (get more clicks on my frown button) than others - probably deliberately on their part.

Good to hear.. I knew or was hoping that you of all people were not that silly. And I need to try out what you posted within IE and see how it goes. Have a good day. :)

Yeah, if they don't get rid of those ugly icons I'm gonna hafta downgrade to slate, chalk and an abacus.
