How to get rid of "Set up your phone" in Outlook.com

One small annoyance I have with Outlook.com is the notification which appears at the bottom of browser whenever I check mail:

My phone is set up. Clicking Close closes the notification for now but next time I open Outlook.com page it's again there. If I click Set it up, the next time I will open Outlook.com will show me another notification:

It's the same what I click now, Connect now or Close, again next time opening Outlook.com will start this two notifications cycle from beginning showing the Connect your phone one.

Does anyone know how to stop these? It's annoying to have them every time there eating the vertical space of the browser.

Hi Kari, it may have something to do with the Maxthon browser. I've noticed in the past, depending on your settings, that Maxthon could have some weird issues with Site Preferences/History, but I'm not totally sure. I can't compare Maxthon with another browser at the moment.
(Love Maxthon for the features though, btw! :))

Strange! Maybe check to see if everything is set up and syncing properly. I'm just looking at my settings now.

It is strange. I get these notifications in every browser, all of my Outlook.com accounts, in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

    Hi kari,
I get the same thing but I've never set it up inside the email account it's self only via the iphone 4 settings for adding an email account,
Probably a Skype - outlook.com issue or dysfunction of which I don't have a Skype account to test ?
    Cheers.
