    IE 11 does not open

I have been using windows 10 home for a few months now but have not needed Ie 11, so have not tried to open. I now do need this browser. when I click on the icon it does not open. I get the spinning blue circle but then this goes away with no browser. Please note that I have read other questions on this issue. I have looked in settings, checked ie 11 off then back on. I have rebooted computer. Nothing that I have done so far allows me to use the browser. Any suggestions?

This is only browser giving you this trouble ? Try resetting it https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2...dows-10-a.html

What else did you exactly try ? Disabling it, renabling it ?

I unchecked explorer, then immediately selected on. I then tried to open ie with no success. I then checked ie off, rebooted computer, reopened settings and selected it on again. I tried again but still would not open. I get the blue circle for a moment then goes away.

Figured might be what you meant, Control Panel in Programs and Features under Turn Windows features on and off, where you selected it.
Try Control Panel Internet options like in link and fully reset IE.

I found control panel. when I searched under internet options I get "internet properties". From here Im guessing... reset IE to default? Anyway I did that (similar to previously). still not opening.

No searching for it, should be right there in the Control panel, Internet options, did you go by the link i provided to reset it ? First Tab in Internet Options Delete browser history, last tab, Advanced tab, Click Restore Advanced Settings then Reset and check all boxes and done.

When you click reset at the advanced tab it has a box to check, delete personal settings and at the first tab general when deleting history check all boxes. This was what i meant to say about all boxes checked. Reboot PC, try again.
