Hello narbi Welcome to the Ten Forums!

With the browser used here Waterfox(64bit offspring of Firefox by independent developer) and some other browsers as well there is no "Instant results"options to disable. In thoes browser you can pick and choose search engines but not adjust settings on how they will be used by the browser itself. Edge on the other hand is coming in using the sand box approach.

    Hi thanks :)
You have the settings link on the bottom right of the Google start page, not in the browser options.

This problem is with all browsers IE, Firefox, chrome etc. I have disabled the instant search in IE11 as per your suggestion. Let us see if problem is solved.

    Not OS related

This issue is not browser related, it happens with Edge, IE, and Chrome.
For now indeed, disabling instant results is workaround (it has to be done in each browser individually).
This is correct. Is also not OS related. It happens with Windows 7 and 10 as well as all browsers.
It has to be a problem with Google search itself.

No help from Google on this.

Gee I just found an option to add "Ten Forums" as a new search engine. That's powered by Google.

Edge simply isn't ready to be any form of full pledged replacement for IE and one reason besides too many sites still requiring IE MS was forced to leave it in! You can simply go into the IE Program Files folder and right click to pin IE onto the Taskbar and Start and unpin Edge at this time and not suffer any!
Please stop saying things like this. Whether or not Edge is "ready" largely depends on your needs. For some, like yourself, it's not, but for many others, like me, find Edge to 100% satisfy my needs.

There are very few sites any more that have not adapted to be compatible with Edge. IE is still there because Edge doesn't and will never support ActiveX, and some (primarily enterprise) customers need ActiveX support for their internal applications. (Chrome and FF don't support ActiveX either).

Every browser these days is a constant "work in progress". Well, except IE, which is no longer getting new features.

I'm far from the only one saying that for sure! Others actually hate Edge since it wasn't a finished browser when stuffed into 10 to begin! Those are the people who expected to see an RTM form of any new browser not something still in beta form.

As I said. The only "finished" browser is a dead one, such as IE. All browsers are in a constant state of change and adding more features. Just because Edge doesn't have as many features as browsers that have been around for 10+ years doesn't mean it was "unfinished".

You are confusing "finished" with "all the features I want in a browser". Those are two different things. Edge was as finished as it was supposed to be when Windows 10 was released. Much like Universal apps were not as featureful as many wanted when Windows 8 was released, so too Edge is going to grow and evolve.

Some people hate Chrome, some people hate FF, just because some group of people dislike something doesn't make it news.

Edge was RTM'd. You seem to forget that when Chrome was first released, it didn't have all the features it has today either. In fact, it didn't have extensions until version 4.0. Does that mean Chrome was released unfinished?

Please stop pretending the evolution of Windows 10 and Edge are any different from the evolution of any other OS and/or Brower. No Browser was ever launched "finished".
