Chrome browser Solved

    Chrome browser

I have a shortcut to open my Chrome browser on my taskbar. Every time I open Chrome I get this pop-up message:

Name:	chrome notification.JPG
Views:	33
Size:	35.8 KB
ID:	43804

I then have to click "yes" for Chrome to open. My Chrome browser is up to date. This has only happened recently. Any idea what causes this annoyance? I've been using Chrome browser for years with no previous problems

Your shortcut advanced properties will probably say "Run as administrator" - uncheck this and the UAC notification should disappear. Otherwise, just delete the shortcut and create a new one.

It is insecure and bad practice to run a browser as Administrator - click on a bad link and serious damage could result to your system.

Fafhrd ... thanks so much! That fixed it. And I have taken note of your "bad practice" warning. I will mark this as "solved"
