Is Chrome offering and real benefits over Edge or I.E. Can't see the point of people installing a third browser on their PC's - unless they are trying to slow it down.
What am I missing by staying away from Chrome vs. the two pre-installed browsers?
Personally I don't like the way Chrome and Google Toolbar try and install themselves with other programs such as Adobe Acrobat. Tantamount to PUP and malware tactics. That alone makes me not want them on my PC.

People do have needs for third-party browsers. I use an app that presents data in Olive eReader (proprietary, no choice in readers). Neither IE nor Edge will display a document in Olive past page 750, but Firefox and Chrome handle the complete file (usually well over 2,000 pages). Edge has some problems yet with multiple monitors. It exits full-screen when an app is opened on the primary monitor, and so on. It will all get fixed, but until it is folks do need to use browsers that don't do annoying things or prevent them from accessing info important to their projects.

For the moment Edge has no extension support so not useful to me, but that will change soon and I'll be having another look. I prefer Firefox over IE because of the extension support. I also use Chrome because sometimes a page that doesn't display properly in Firefox will do so in Chrome. I don't like the way Google bundles Chrome and its other products either, but if you can ignore that Chrome is still a good browser and worth a try.

Yes, it works on all of my platforms. Linux, Windows, Apple, and Android. All of my history, bookmarks, and passwords come with me on any device I am on.

Chrome for some reason does not work for usps.com when I do Find USPS Locations, it would hang but works fine in Edge and IE11.
