In Chrome Canary it is now possible to resize the Side Panel:

You can also choose whether the Side panel appears on the right or left side of the window:

The window frame context menu now also uses dark mode in Canary:

This is that same menu in Stable, Beta and Dev:

In the future it will be possible to set Chrome as the default browser with a single click (from the browser itself), it will no longer be necessary to do it from the Windows Settings app. In case you don't know, currently you are redirected to the Windows Settings app if you want Chrome to be your default browser:

Well, in Chrome 106 Google has eliminated those extra steps and you just have to click 'Make default' to (instantly) set Chrome as your default browser. This change cannot be tested in Chrome Canary because that version doesn't have the 'Make default' button on the Settings page, but it can be tested in the Chromium browser:

There is another news that have to do with Chrome and Windows, Google will bring back the option to automatically pin the Chrome icon to the taskbar during the installation process, this option worked on Windows 7 but stopped working on windows 10.
