I assume everybody is familiar with the recent sync issues?
t stay logged into websites or remember passwords - Mac OSX : chrome
Basically, signing out of any Google product, i.e Gmail, signs you out of all Google products and also out of Chrome itself. Sync is paused and requires Chrome sign-in again at which time you are signed in everywhere again.
Currently the solution that works is to whitelist accounts.google.com as mentioned in that thread. The flag chrome://flags/#account-consistency worked on older builds but not any more. (The flag Disabled would allow signing out of Gmail without signing out of Chrome.)
Does anybody know if Google have addressed this at all? I can't find any entries on the Chromium or Google issue trackers, although i'm the first to admit that i'm not familiar enough with them to really find anything, other than by luck.
Would Google even consider this an issue, or are they literally forcing people to be signed in everywhere at all times for sync to be viable? Is it also safe to assume that corresponding builds of Chromium would behave exactly the same as Chrome and are not a solution for this problem?
One of the fixes made in Chrome 71 has gone unnoticed, the refresh of the icons when chrome opens (Windows 10), in another comment I had already shown the difference between the stable version and the Canary version, here I show the difference between version 70 and version 71.
Chrome 70:
Slow mo:
In Chrome 71 there is no refresh of the icons:
The difference is quite noticeable.

Tab hover cards working in Canary:
Incognito:
And that's how they look with "new native" dark theme in Chrome:
I don't know if it is the final design or they are going to add something else, the design could change when this feature is released in the stable version.
By the way, this article explains how to enable the new dark theme of Chrome in Windows, as it says there, it still doesn't work well, the menus have black letters, but the best thing is, without a doubt, the omnibox.
