    Middle Click (Wheel Click)

Open in a new tab and switch to it immediately, (Bookmarks, Links, doesn't matter):

    Shift+Middle Click.

Or, get lazy, like me and program a mouse button to do it...

    Attachment 207809
I am not going though all of that when it works in Firefox and everything else. The mouse is programmed to do it.

    Hi All,
Having looked everywhere else on the net for a solution, without success, I was hoping this forum could provide a solution to my "problem". I use multiple desktops in W10 and switch between them using taskview. If I have Chrome running on another desktop than the current, and I click a html link somewhere, focus automatically jumps to the desktop with the last active chrome window and opens the link in a new tab. The default behavior I'm looking for, is to have a new Chrome window opened on my current desktop, leaving all other chrome windows sessions in peace.
I have figured out how to achieve this, by simply modifying a registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\shell\open\command and modifying the content to read "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --new-window "%1"
The issue here is that everytime I reboot my computer, this setting is lost, and I have to manually change it again.
So my question is; Is there a generic way to write protect a registry key to prevent it from being altered?

(Please apologize if asking such questions in this forum is not appropriate)

I just got asked this by the Feedback hub
So I told them what I think(Edge sucks at YouTube playback, especially at 4K).

I was watching GamersNexus,, and when finished, closed Chrome and opened Edge(which is my main browser), and was asked for feedback on Chrome

I have never been asked about 3rd party software from Feedback Hub before, and this surprised me.

Neither have I. I think they are interested in why you weren't using Edge.
