    You can change the look of the tabs in Google Chrome if you like.

    In my case, after updating to version 69, only the tabs and the omnibox have the new design, the search bar and the most visited sites continue to appear the same on the new tab page, I also don't have the icon of the gear to change the background of the new tab page, the same happens with the PiP function, it is not enabled by default.

    The PiP feature is kinda useless,
    should be a pop-out window that shows controls...

    If I understand what you are talking about I had the same thing. Not all new elements were shown after the update. Even resetting all Flags (I didn't have any changed to begin with) to default didn't help. Only a complete uninstall including all data, and then reinstall, fixed it. All new elements shown correctly, and then I just signed back into my account to sync everything, and now all is good.
