Real search box in New Tab Page (Chrome Canary).

The flag to enable this feature appeared some time ago, but until today it works:

"Dismiss" button has been added to the sessions in the Global media controls (Canary):
GMC: Add ability to dismiss a media session

This CL adds an X button to the sessions in the Global Media Controls dialog (when paused) that dismisses the session from the dialog. This also updates the MediaNotificationContainer API to receive MediaSessionInfo updates and foreground color updates so that we know when to show the button and what color to make it.

    More changes:
Google is testing a new icon for the Global media controls:
    GMC: Use actual icon

This CL changes the GMC icon from the placeholder play button that we've been using to the actual "queue music" icon we want to use. This also fixes an issue where the icon was slightly too big for the toolbar.

Another small change has to do with YouTube playlists, you no longer have to click on the browser icon to expand the controls, they are expanded by default:
GMC: Force notifications to be expanded when artwork is available

This CL adds the ability to force an expanded state on a MediaNotificationView. This allows GMC to force media sessions with artwork (or 4+ enabled actions) to be always expanded, which prevents contrast issues with the buttons and the artwork.

"...Which prevents contrast issues with the buttons and the artwork", this refers to the fact that, before, when a single video was playing, some buttons were hard to see, here you can see the difference:

In case someone still doesn't know, starting with Chrome 77 you can enable the "Global media controls", the new customization menu (which includes a new "Color and Theme" menu) and you can also hide the shortcuts on the New Tab Page.
