Latest Google Chrome released for Windows-image.pngI can't figure out the problem with Chrome settings that are causing this issue. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? It's the same on three out of 4 computers in the house. The 4th is a fresh install of windows 10 64 bit that I built for my wife. The other 3 are older cloned drives that have been used for months. I am sure it is a settings problem but even a fresh install of Chrome didn't fix the time out problem. Clearing the history didn't fix the problem. I am stumped on this issue.

This is the new UI (by default) of the translate bubble in Chrome Canary:

The "Show original" option no longer appears, you simply have to click on the original language button and the page will be displayed in that language, in the flag that enables or disables this new UI, there is another option, this one:

But, as I said above, the one that appears by default is the one I show in the GIF.

The new "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents" flag now also affects the NTP, the "fakebox" and the Google logo are dark in Canary:

In previous Canary versions, this flag had no effect on the NTP.

What I like about this flag is that it respects the Dark Reader settings, and also doesn't change the color of the sites that have their own dark mode (except Reddit).

Google updates the context menus in Chrome Canary.

There is no longer a white outline around the menus:

The most important change has to do with the context menus of the tabs:

Latest Google Chrome released for Windows-cm-vs-33.png

These changes are explained by Peter Kasting in a commit:

Update tab and frame context menus to match most recent UX specs.

This removes four entries from the tab context menu; changes the text on several others to stop saying "tab(s)" explicitly; adds one entry to the frame context menu; and changes the bookmark-related menu entry strings from "page" to "tab" for consistency.

Most of the file changes here are due to renaming enums/APIs to match the string changes.

Apparently, there's a price to pay for having a fully customize-able New Tab page...
