That would be about right, I just updated to 71 yesterday afternoon! In fact it's what I'm using right now.

Will it be possible to make a theme-pack to Chrome, to get old color and graphic back? I (and many others) don't like the new design, and we have been using the method to get the old design back as long as we could. But that ended now :-(

The flag to allow users to group tabs (natively) appeared two days ago in Canary, I had read about it some time ago but at that time the flag didn't exist yet.

Go to Chrome Web Store and browse the Themes. It's easy to try them. Just 'Add to Chrome' and if you don't like it 'Undo'. Move onto the next one. There are limitations though. Nothing can change the colour or shape of the Omnibox, nor the shape of the Tabs.

Why not use v70 which still had the flag tweaks? If you install the standalone version from here it doesn't try to auto update:

    Google Chrome Offline Installer

There's also Chromium or forks thereof that can be used as an alternative. You can still sync with your account using them

    On another note...

I don't care for the new YouTube UI either...

The Miniplayer is useless, it's locked in the corner and you can't do anything with it,

Picture in picture, at least, lets you drag it anywhere on your desktop(s) and resize it...

I don't know what Google was thinking when implementing that mini-player in that way, I remember that a long time ago I wrote a comment about that in Disqus:

YouTube mini-player now available on the web, and it works in Edge too.

So you can search for new content while still listening to the current content...

    Okay, enough veering off track!
