I know but is it possible to set it to open in a new tab automatically ? In Firefox this can be done.
I know.... also holding ctrl and left (normal) click opens in new tab.

I believe Josey means when clicking a link.
No Chrome doesn't have that automatic option.

You're welcome Josey, it would be nice, if they had that option(I prefer it that way too), plus in chrome, each tab runs in it's own process, which is better for browser stability, where if a tab has a problem, it doesn't freeze or crash the whole browser, just that one tab/process.

It is the same in the latest Fx Beta, just the tab will crash. I had to go back to Firefox because my Razer Mouse Back Button would not function in Chrome.

    I can understand that Josey
My forward & back mouse buttons are indispensable.
One reason I buy gaming mice even though I don't game, also for doing 4k graphics in GIMP.

    Middle Click (Wheel Click)

Open in a new tab and switch to it immediately, (Bookmarks, Links, doesn't matter):

    Shift+Middle Click.

Or, get lazy, like me and program a mouse button to do it...
