New Google Chrome Beta 103.0.5060.24 released. See first post for more details.
Google Chrome may soon have 'Fluent' scrollbars (the same scrollbars Edge uses on Windows), Microsoft engineers working on the Chromium project will implement this feature.
For those of you who don't know, these are the 'Fluent' scrollbars:
(This GIF is a bit old, Microsoft has added a gradient effect).
Currently in Chrome, the 'Overlay scrollbars' (which can be enabled with this flag) disappear when you move the pointer away from them:
Microsoft engineers have changed this, and now the scrollbars don't disappear but remain on the screen in the minimal mode, this change is already available in Chrome Canary:
This is just the first change, subsequent changes will add the rounded style of 'Fluent' scrollbars and also the animation that appears when the pointer enters the scrollbar area (just like they work in Edge).
