Please don't take this as a huge negative criticism, but do we really need to post a "Thank you" and "You're Welcome" so many times? I appreciate the update posts, but it seems like I'm constantly checking this thread just to see thanks and welcomes more than info. I know it's my email settings, but getting an email of a post, checking to see Thank You, closing the tab, getting an email, checking to see You're Welcome, closing the tab, etc. UGH. But if I don't have email notifications on I may miss something important.

Can we all agree that when a post is done, and it contains update information, we don't need to individually thank and welcome multiple consecutive posts? I sure we all do appreciate those who post on updates, so having multiple posts in a row just to say that seems unnecessary.

Sorry for the rant. Have a wonderful day.

Quite frankly, I enjoy seeing "please and thank you" from our denizens at TenForums. It reassures my faith in my fellow participants.

No worries then. I don't want to be mean, so I'll just disable notifications. I can always check the first post for updates now and then. Sorry if I offended anyone. I just figured that we are all one big community, and thanking and welcoming are understood on every post anyway.

Bobby, you don't have to completely disable notifications. Instead, do it this way:

Under Messaging and Notification, turn off Email Notification, then scroll down to Subscription notifications in header: and enable that.

Now when you open TenForums, you should see “Notifications: #” in your Header. This denotes the number of subscribed threads that have new posts. IOW, mine currently is “Notifications” 5”.

Click on the little down arrow and each subscribed thread that has new posts will be in bold. This will do away with the huge number of emails from TF, and will save time in the long run, once you get used to it. I know . . . Been there, done that!

I realize you're trying to get rid of the "chaff", but you can just scroll past that and go on down the line. Or, you can unsubscribe to that particular thread and then periodically check it for new posts.
