Yes I read all that Josey but which of those apply to Windows and which apply to Linux?
Just had this again on another machine. Really annoying that the update gives no warning of this before or after installing. The only 'notification' is that spelling stops working. Not only that, but Add-ons doesn't automatically tell you that a compatible update is available....
...you have to manually check for update before it shows up.
Surely it would have been easy to provide some notification with the update?
I miss the add on "Classic Bookmarks" that let me keep IE bookmarks and FF bookmarks the same.
anyone know of a seamless substitute?
This was a clean install of Windows on a new machine, so I downloaded and installed from https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/new/ and had a working UK English language spell check in FF 64.
It was Firefox's own UPDATE to 65 that disabled the English language pack (apparently the 64 dictionaries are not compatible with 65). What annoys me is that while FF said there was an update, when I let it FF update itself there was absolutely no warning that the language pack would be disabled and nothing to tell me I had to install a 65 version if I wanted the spell checking to continue working. I had to find that out for myself....
