question -- is there a pdf viewer plugin -- if so I can then relegate that hideous EDGE browser to the garbage can -- the only thing I use edge for is that it has a built in pdf reader -- don't need any pdf functions other than read.

I prefer firefox by far to chrome etc -- although browsers are very much YMMV.

Not really Mike but it would be unusual if RC1 became the final release. RC2 could well be released this week and followed by as many release candidates it takes for Mozilla to decide it's working correctly.

It was Rc1 this morning, now it's gone.

Strange, Firefox has never stated the RC version in the about box for me.
also Bugzilla is showing 5 changes from RC1 to RC2 so I'd assume there will be at least one more RC.

UPDATE

Just found why mine doesn't display Beta Channel, it's because I disable the Maintenance Service during installation.
