Mike, have you tried resetting Firefox? All you would probably lose is your extensions. UPDATE: Reset Firefox now called refresh Firefox :)

I was going to suggest trying to start it in safemode, but I'm a little late to the party.

    Why not use Firefox Sync?

Because it is not fool proof. What would happen if you lost your system due to a virus or some other reason. Why use Macrium Reflect? just use restore points. A secondary backup is always the better path.

It wouldn't start at all, actually it only showed the tread in Task manager but no actual window so all those fixes would not work. Only full uninstall > new install fixed it with some part syncing from an older format. All add-ons (even obsolete ones) synced as well as bookmarks, old and new but made a mess i had to clean up. All passwords are also synced but show only when first letter of an account is typed. Had a great addon called "Saved Password Editor" that doesn't work any more so I can't see them. Can't find anything new that can replace it. Another great addon I can't find replacement for is to save as MHT, UnMHT, really missing that one because any browser could open MHT saved pages.
Hope that v59 doesn't place any more restrictions to addons or their developers make them compatible. I don't use many addons and ones that I don't use regularly are left in disabled mode until needed.
