My FF just quit working in W10 but works here in W7. It starts to load, shows in Task manager but doesn't open at all. Tried to reinstall but still same problem. What are chances of repairing it without uninstalling it first ?

Any chance Mike you got a recent Macruim image backup??? You could use that method, then make a backup of your bookmarks, then do a Clean install of FF.

Yes, last day in January but that's last resort, I'd like to fix it without it. I had few FF crashes just before it quit but also had few system crashes trying different OC settings. Nothing else quit working though, only FF. System tests come clean.

Only thing you would need is your bookmarks ......unless you already made a backup of them. I always try to keep one. other then your bookmarks, just need to do a clean install.

Actually I need more than bookmarks, they are same as here in W7 as I sync them often, I just made .html backup from it. All of my passwords are memorized and than there are cookies.
I'll try to copy FF folders back to W10 and see if that helps. Never happened like that before.

Download this program and use it Mike, it works I have used it since I started using Firefox. You can save all of Firefox to a external drive or anywhere and restore it all or just say Bookmarks. It will not help you now but will help if you have further problems.

    Download Mozbackup - MajorGeeks

Tnx, forgot about it so old backup was too old to use. Installed it again.

I use Mozbackup on a regular basis for Firefox and Thunderbird. Unfortunately the app is no longer being developed. It's last official homepage was here MozBackup - Backup tool for Firefox and Thunderbird
