Craig, be sure to download from MajorGeeks and not the other thing that makes you install a nasty app that changes all your defaults.
Wynona, download from Mozilla servers is just fine. I'm always downloading from here:

    download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/58.0/

Right, and that's what I would have said if I'd been first to post, but since he'd already been told to go to Major Geeks (which works, BTW), I didn't want to muddy the waters.

No need to hit him from all directions.

Firefox 58 is running great! So glad i decided to try it "early"... On the old version, i was having some problem with a bit of excess memory usage but 58 seems to be much better in that regard...and it is very FAST as they said it would be :)

MajorGeeks does classify it as a Final at Mozilla Firefox 58, just got it and all is okay.

I've been convinced about MajorGeeks for more years than I can remember. My comment was on the positive side.

What is the reason for not just doing it the old fashion way.
    Help
    About Firefox

That will give you a option to update if their is a new update officially put out by Firefox.
