Firefox 57 ...58 both have a private browsing feature, there is no need to use sandboxie.
Sandboxie is a security program not a private browsing feature. You can use it to sandbox every program or file you run in your computer. Running your browser is just one function you can do with SBIE. By the way, I posted in this thread to help people with sound issues in Firefox not for promoting SBIE.

The sound issue is due to the windows Builds 17063 not a Firefox issue, as for Sandboxie I know what it is and I have never had a use for it. Private Browsing is a more secure way to use a Browser.
Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history | Firefox Help
PSA: If you use Firefox, don't upgrade to 17063 (It breaks sound playback) : Windows10
Windows Audio quality guy here, we're on it
EDIT: figured it out, working on a fix
EDIT2: got a fix working, adding tests to stop this from happening again
EDIT3: made a Feedback Hub collection for this with an official response https://aka.ms/Fpb330
EDIT4: fix reached mainline, builds 17073 and later should work

Firefox Privacy and Performance
While we all know you can disable some data collection in Preferences...

... however, Firefox will still collect and send data to servers.
Here's a fresh list of privacy, and subsequently, performance tweaks you can experiment with in the about:config page.
(although, dependent upon other settings, you should witness a performance increase)
PLEASE NOTE:
- Some of these tweaks will affect the 'New Tab' page functionality, use discretion.
- If you encounter problems, right click the modified entry and choose 'Reset'

Yes Josey I noticed that, currently running version 58 b16 so it'll be v59 beta builds for me soon
As an aside 58 beta 16 seems even faster than previous builds.
