I don't know how it's possible but seams to happen every time.
Every now and than, FF crashes to Gah !! screen and immediately after that some programs would not start any more until restart. If they are running at that time they stay running.
How could FF have such an effect to OS ?
At first, I was blaming 17046 for it but now I have proven that connection exists. It happens same way every time. Only some programs are affected like Total Commander and HW Info.
Tabs crashing in v56.02 and other browsers do not do that.

    But it's 57 that's doing it to me, 56 wasn't.
    Hi Mike.
Not that this is your issue, but I wanted to point this out, in case it may help, or someone else may find it useful:

I have seen several systems, that originally had FF 32-bit (earlier than v56), being upgraded over time by Mozilla, and eventually upgraded from 32-bit to 64-bit by Mozilla, in preparation for v57. During the upgrade process form 32 to 64 bit, Mozilla left (and still used) many files in the Program Files x86 folder, even though the browser was now 64-bit. Some of the problems arising from this were constant GAH crashes, as well as AVs/AMs flagging as infection.

The solution was to completely uninstall FF, manually remove remaining folders in the Program Files x86 folder, and reinstall v57 clean.

Maybe that will help your problems?

    ^^^^

That is what I did when I switched to the 64 Bit quite some time ago.

Yes, but a lot of people didn't even know what happened, and let Mozilla perform the upgrade blindly. Thus, the problems I was seeing on a LOT of systems.

Tnx for heads up but my earlier versions were also 64bit and 57 was installed clean (actually twice) with full uninstall by Revo.
