Can you run a Beta along side a release version or does the install replace it?

Or maybe install the Beta in its own folder?

You have to do a custom install and install to a different directory otherwise the beta will replace your existing FF installation.

It's also best to create a new profile for the beta install.

You don't have to get it from Major Geeks Josey it's available from Mozilla direct Directory Listing: /pub/firefox/candidates/57.0b3-candidates/build1/
Does not matter Major Geeks uses the same source.

I installed the Beta in a separate folder but used the original profile and had the same extensions and bookmarks.
It worked OK but didn't notice much different. I uninstalled it today when the new FF 56 was released.
