Any idea what the rhombus is?
Rhombus: a parallelogram with opposite equal acute angles, opposite equal obtuse angles, and four equal sides.
- any parallelogram with equal sides, including a square.
I just clicked the icon that isn't normally there in most address bars. It should show up next to the star that indicates if something is bookmarked or not.
I don't use Chrome anyway, I use Seamonkey, but I've tried the Mailto link in every browser, AND all the possible settings, and it still won't work.
And this past week, in another thread here, we finally got my PC past the sleep and BSOD problems it was having since last July when I upgraded from Win 7 to 10. So this is the last bug that I haven't been able to get past, yet.
One other question. I can not find the SCREEN you show:
CHOOSE DEFAULT APPLICATION BY PROTOCOL.
I see I have to "assign" Browser (Firefox) but the scr shot says at top is "settings", can you lead me to it?
In 1709 it's:
Settings > Apps > Default Apps (scroll all the way to the bottom) click on 'Choose default applications by protocol'.
GOT IT.
But am going through this again as the "MAILTO" in "CHOOSE DEFAULT ALL BY PROTOCOL"
Still only OFFERS: MAIL and App store
while yours shows YAHOO too.
I go back with Microsoft to DOS 1 prior to its GUI. They have always been "snots" about trying to make you use THEIR PRODUCTS instead of just offering an OS like UNIX......
I have Firefox installed, but don't have it as an option in the dropdown list (I use Thunderbird). A brief search gave this... maybe someone who's actually used Firefox in this way can help, especially given the major upgrade to Firefox recently:
Change the program used to open email links | Firefox Help
Best have a look on FF forums and help documentation.
I was just looking into this, this morning actually and finally made WLM Work with FireFox by replacing the the missing WLDCore files like this :
For FireFox make sure the Option for the Mail program is set to default ( ie If WLM is your default Mail Program ) by following the instructions above in Dalchina's liink , it is the page I used too.
** Note I have tried to make this applicable for Win10 File Structures**
WLM WLDCore.dll Fix
The solution is simply copy paste the 2 files wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll into the WinLive Mail folder from the Win Live Shared folder
For FireFox make sure the Option for the Mail program is set to defualt ( ie If WLM is your default Mail Program )
1. Open Windows Explorer and go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared. If you have Windows or the program installed on another hard disk then change the letter C to the correct drive letter.
2. Select and Copy the following 2 files in the shared folder ie: wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll
3. Now Paste the files into EACH Winlive Program's Folder accepting the Admin. warning if needed eg:
a. Open Windows Explorer and go to: c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail if you have Windows Live Mail installed, once in the folder paste both files you copied in step 2.
b. Open Windows Explorer and go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Messenger if you have Windows Live Messenger installed, once in the folder paste both files you copied in step 2.
c. Open Windows Explorer and go to: c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Contacts if you have Windows Live Contacts installed, once in the folder paste both files you copied in step 2.
Once you’ve done this reboot your computer and see if you still receive the error “WLDCore.dll is missing and cannot be found”.
***For FireFox make sure the Option for the Mail program is set to default ( ie If WLM is your default Mail Program )
