    Looking for new Email Client

I used to use BlueMail & really liked the layout & customization, but had problems w/an update (1 that was not easy for me to pin-down w/o help from users in this forum) & Blix, Inc. did not fix the problem.

So I'm looking for a new desktop client. I use the Vivaldi browser & although it has an email client built-in, I don't always want to open the browser just to check my email.

I've narrowed it down to Mailbird, Pegasus & Thunderbird.

    My requirements are small:
I don't do any heavy emailing
    I want a free client
I have 2 email addresses I may want to use in the client
    Easy to learn & use
    Available for Windows & Android

Also, are any of the 3 available for Windows as a portable program?
Not looking for that, but just curious.

Tbird - some references to portable versions. Availability for Android - delayed.

My limited experience with mail on phones suggests that if your email provider has a dedicated app, that's a better option.

Pegasus: includes a SPAM filter - no obvious portable version on a quick search.
Pegasus is available for Android devices running at least Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
Mailbird Android - under development apparently.

Not on your list I see but since I use Outlook on my home system, I also have it on my droid (ver. 13). It's a free download from the google play store for anyone.
All androids have gmail pre-installed and i use it as a spam magnet.

I installed & have been using Thunderbird (v115.11.1, 64bit) for a few days. It's ok & I'm still trying to get used to it.

As I was testing the configurations of the client, I listed All Folders & Unified Folders.
    1. What is the Unified Folders used for?

    2. Under Unified Folders-Inbox, I think I understand the #9 (total messages in my Arachnid account?), but where is the #2 from & why is the circle in a darker color?

    3. Under Unified Folders, when I click/double-click the Inbox - nothing happens. If I select the Inbox & choose 'Open in New Tab'/'Open in New Window' - the Inbox is empty of any contents.
