I tried to fix it in setting but every thing greyed out so i can not remove the arrows to stop encryption. how do i fix this with out having to make a whole new account and lose all my contacts and configurations? sending a attainment as to what i looks like in Thunderbird. my version is 115.9.0 supernova. This is a complicated area; see

OpenPGP in Thunderbird - HOWTO and FAQ | Thunderbird Help

    Utterly non-trivial.

It shouldn't be a matter of 'fixing' Thunderbird (I've never encountered it) unless you've changed something to configure it. Rather it's a matter of with whom you're communicating and how they configured the message you've received.

I'm guessing this only happens with messages from particular correspondents.

Do you put a tick in the box in my image?
