    Firefox mailto problem

    I have 2 email addresses.

I use Axxxxxxs@hotmail.com via outlook/firefox and I use Myname@hotmail.com via EmClient (occasionally via outlook/firefox just to check my spam folder on the server).

I had set up for web page mailto links to open my emClient when i clicked them and all was working fine.

I hope i've described this using the correct terminology.

While using Axxxxxxs@hotmail.com, like a complete idiot i clicked on the nagging invitation to use outlook as a mailto option, naively thinking i'd get a choice when i clicked a link. Of course, i don't- it uses outlook automatically now and i can't get it back to where it was. I've selected EmClient in my applications settings in Firefox, but it makes no difference.

    Please help!

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Set eM Client as default email client for handling mailto links in windows 10.

Open Settings > Apps> Defaults Apps. Scroll to near the end and select. "Set defaults by App." *If it's there, select eM Client and choose to manage. Select the mailto option and set it to eM Client.

Open Settings > Apps> Defaults Apps. Scroll to near the end and select. "Set defaults by App." *If it's not there, select mail and to manage. Select mailto, choose Look for App in Microsoft Store. On the "Mailto" page scroll down to eM Client, select GET. Set it as defaut email client for handling mailto links.

    Hopefully, this helps.

Thanks - that all seems to be in order. And i've got my nagging notice back when i open my Axxxxxxs@hotmail.com account in Firefox. But the problem remains. However, i think i know what's actually happening now. When i click the link on the website (a button saying "send via my email") the link shows in FF status bar as https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/deep...ompose?subject etc etc.
It's just a crazy coincidence that the first time this has happened - in almost 30 years afaicr - is the first time clicking on such a link after agreeing to "add outlooklive.com as an application for mailto links". You couldn't make it up. I guess i'll know for sure next time i use a 'conventional' (mailto) link on a website.

Nevertheless, i don't think i'll reaccept the outlooklive offer. Is there any way to stop the nagging?
