my folders not showing in new outlook

At the moment i use windows mail on my windows 10 pc
each time i open it i am asked to try the new outlook which i believe we will be eventually forced to use.

tonight i thought i would give it a go.

when the new outlook opened it appears to show my account but there is nothing in my inbox and non of my sub folders show.

i have tryed to sync the account but nothing changes.

also i cant see any relevant settings to change in the manage account.

    Anyone any ideas

Well, you're lucky you actually have 'new Outlook' running - I was using the Calendar app, and an 'upgrade' attempt to 'new Outlook' occurred- but it failed.

One way to revert your 'upgrade' (temporarily) is to use a System Restore point created before the 'upgrade'. That's what I did so I could note my pending events.

Whilst doing that will hopefully let you see your old mail again, it's not clear what you can then easily do.

You then have a problem in that there's no way to export mail from the Mail app in bulk- only individually.

I gave up on MS email clients years ago after they first dropped Outlook Express then Winmail. Similarly I'm now using a 3rd party calendar program- not as neatly integrated as the Calendar app of course.
