Canary Mail says already installed but is not

I'm trying to download Canary Mail to my Windows 10 Asus and have tried from both the Microsoft Store and directly from a Canary page on the web. both sites let me click on Install - but then immediately show "Installed". The app is nowhere on my computer, which should be correct because this is the first I've ever attempted to install it and no one else uses my computer.
Canary's help page says to try restarting your computer - didn't work - and clearing your Microsoft Store cache - also didn't work but I get the same results I get in the store on their own page anyway, so it's not the store.
I'd be grateful for any help as I like this mail app on my iphone and would like to be able to use the same one on my laptop.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kathy

Welcome to tenforums. The Store offers me:
Canary Mail - AI Email App

Canary Mail says already installed but is not-1.jpg
Canary Mail says already installed but is not-2.jpg
Canary Mail says already installed but is not-3.jpg
    UAC prompt
Canary Mail says already installed but is not-4.jpg

But no sign of it via taskbar search or my 3rd party start menu, or Win 10's.
Nor does Revo Uninstaller list it in its list of Store apps immediately- but does later.

both sites let me click on Install - but then immediately show "Installed".
Note that that did not happen to me, but nor does it seem to be accessible.
    I've not tried restarting FWIW.

Oh- unexpectedly, there is a shortcut on my desktop. Odd there's nothing else.

Its window does not respect my screen- clipped top and bottom.

Can you successfully install something more familiar (and smaller) using the Store?

    My question got skipped

So, my initial post in this thread got skipped and the following gigantic one answered, instead. Replying to a question to that person, yes I can download other things from the store just fine, but I have the same problem with Canary on both the store *and* Canary's website itself.
    Thanks.

    Check Start> Settings (cog) > Apps> Apps & Features

See if it is listed there.

No idea but it means that it's installed so look for it in your start menu.

I installed it and found the program here:

    "C:\Program Files\Canary Mail\Canary.exe"

It did not appear in start menu. I had to launch it from the folder.

Canary Mail says already installed but is not-canary-mail.jpg

If found you could right click the highlighted icon and select "pin to stat menu"

It did create a shortcut "icon" on my desktop.

I'm 'that person'. Well- thank you for your post. I can only share my experience to contrast with yours.

I went to the trouble of installing something I didn't want just for you to see what would happen.

You clearly are a totally unappreciative person and I shall add you to my ignore list. Good luck to you.
