    Microsoft Edge Issue with URL's

Hello I used to use Chrome but found Edge to be faster and using less resources then Chrome browser.

The only that I am facing is that I have to type the url's/addresses everytime I visit a site.

Even the ones that I visit on a daily basis those URL's dont just auto complete or are even suggested in the address bar. Can someone please help me sort it out I have tried to google it but can't find any solution to my issue.

Any help would be appricated. Thanks in advance.

When you’re searching for something, Microsoft Edge can give suggestions about what you’re searching for. To turn on this feature, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Address bar and search, and turn on Show me search and site suggestions using my typed characters. As you start to type, the info you enter in the address bar is sent to your default search provider to give you immediate search and website suggestions.

    Check the above.

Thank you for the reply but I checked and the setting cannot be turned on. It is greyed out and it when I move my mouse cursor over it it says this setting is managed by your organization.

The issue is i'm on a home pc and I never have set any such setting to be managed by any organization.

I did check my windows setting and it says I have a local account and am the administrator. No work or organizational accounts listed in my setting under my useraccount.

It can say this because a GroupPolicy or a Registry edit has inhibited the property concerned.

Run CMD as admin and copy/paste:

    Code:
    taskkill /im msedge.exe /f
    reg delete "HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" /f
    reg delete "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" /f
Well to be honest I did some more research and after months of looking for a solution this worked for me.
