    How to remove this line between extensions & menu in Firefox/waterfox?

    Hello,

    I updated my Waterfox web browser from G5.1.1 to G6.0.8 and ever since doing that.

    I found that there is this new line that appears between the new Extensions puzzle icon and the Menu button on the top right corner.

    It looks like this. How to remove this line between extensions & menu in Firefox/waterfox?-how-remove-line-between-extensions-menu-buttons.jpg
    I would like to remove this line to make it look more appealing. Previously this line wasn't there on the old Waterfox/Firefox web browsers.

    I know that I am more likely to get help if I post this question in the Waterfox/Firefox reddit forums.

    There must be a setting somewhere but I can't find it. Obviously this is more to do with aesthetics. I don't like that line there and I'm sure there are others that will see this and agree.

    Many thanks.

    It's a toolbar separator. See below for possible solution in waterfox (about:config). I use firefox and dumped that ugly puzzle piece when it first appeared.

    How?

    I don't care that it's ugly but I want to look at my extensions' management page so seldom that it's pointless having an icon on my toolbar for it.
    - Firefox's Customise toolbar does not let me remove that icon.

    All the best,

    Not that hard when Mozilla makes their flags easier than Chrome. Chrome has gotten harder to change some flags on it.

    Problem solved! Thank you very much. Not sure why Firefox/Waterfox added this in the first place. I had the older version and it didn't have this by default.

    I found the solution for removing the puzzle piece icon by pasting this..

    #PanelUI-menu-button {display: none;}

    #unified-extensions-button {
    display: none !important;
    }

    #alltabs-button {
    display: none !important;
    }

    But there is one problem with this. Any extensions that are hidden inside the puzzle cannot be brought back to the toolbar. You have to manually remove this code from userChrome.css and then take them out of it.

    There used to be an Overflow Menu, where I'd hide my uBlock Origin extensions icon. Now this has been replaced with the puzzle icon instead. I can no longer insert my uBlock Origin inside this Overflow Menu with 2 arrows icon >>

    Now I'm more or a less adapted to this ugly puzzle icon because for me the toolbar separator with the line was actually worse.

    Thanks.
    I think I'll leave it alone as well.

    You're welcome.

    To hide the puzzle piece:
    about:config => extensions.unifiedExtensions.enabled = false. Restart firefox\waterfox.
    So far it hasn't re-appeared in any update

    I'm on v.122.0 and this is the only thing that worked for me!

    I already had about:config extensions.unifiedExtensions.enabled = false. and it had still been there.

    Strange. I,m using 121.0.1 and it's been gone since 109 i believe? (not sure). Anyway, whatever works.
    I usually wait for the inevitable point upgrade before going to the next version. I do have 122 on my droid however.
    Oddly enough, the latest versions for android are always available a week or so ahead of those for windows.
