Chrome desktop shortcuts being installed as apps

While looking through the list of installed programs on my PC, I noticed that a bunch of old. long since deleted desktop shortcuts created using Chrome were showing up there as installed programs. The problem is that I can't delete them. If I click on uninstall, nothing happens. How do I delete these? I'm using Windows 10 Pro (Version 22H2) Thanks

How are you using Chrome to create these shortcuts?

Right-click on the shortcut and select Properties. What is the Target? Note the Target is the path for the shortcut.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I was using 'more tools' then 'create shortcut' in the Chrome browser. They've since changed the process, but these were from old, long since deleted shortcuts.

Are you sure they were shortcuts? Nothing should prevents you from deleting shortcuts.

Can you you post the link for one of these shortcuts?

I had no problem deleting the shortcuts from the desktop. It's just that when I go into the control panel and see the list of installed programs, it's showing the old desktop shortcuts as installed programs, which I can't uninstall.

I've attached a screenshot, and you can see a couple of them at the bottom.Chrome desktop shortcuts being installed as apps-installed-programs.png

Use an Uninstaller App like Geek Uninstaller, or Revo.

Thank you very much. I will try those apps, and I'll let you know how it went.
