Chrome browser won't play Youtube videos

I have to try one more time. I know this isn't the right forum for this question but perhaps some of you will have a solution. For some reason, Chrome will not play YouTube videos On my Windows 10 system. @pepanee suggested that I uninstall Chrome - and then reinstall it. Should I uninstall it completely using Revo Uninstaller or should I let Windows uninstall it - leaving some information in the Registry? Since I have all my settings synced with Google, He thinks the newly installed Chrome will adopt them - but he's not sure. I don't want to lose all my settings, bookmarks, and extensions. Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction? Thank you.

It's not just that @Nisko uses a huge number of tabs instead of bookmarking pages and has them all open all of the time and doesn't want to lose those along with other things. See original thread here:

@pepanee I need your help with Youtube not showing video in Chrome

There are multiple threads on this so maybe read what's already been tried.

I forgot that this is a shampoo, lather, rinse, repeat user. Why people do not use the tools available in chrome only leads to believe that they are using public computers.

I do appreciate your comments - even though a bit rough. FYI: I have tried all the 'tools' available to me or offered to me with one exception: @pepanee is not sure if I uninstall Chrome - then reinstalling it will work. He's not sure if I will be able to reclaim all my tabs, bookmarks, settings, extensions, etc. So I am very reluctant to uninstall Chrome and try this because I don't want to lose any data or information. At current, I have 32 tabs open. I know it's not advised but I have been doing this for many years without a problem. If you know of a solution that will work, please let me know. If I uninstall Chrome, I would need to know if I should completely uninstall all remnants of Chrome - even Registry data. According to my settings, everything is synced with Google. Please help me start over with Chrome - but not lose any data. If you need more information from me, please just ask. Thank you.

If the only problem is YouTube vids, disable your adblocker or try another adblocker to see if difference.

I've tried that already - but thanks. I use PC MATIC. It's strange, but a few TouTube videos will play - but most of them do not.

    Note   Note
When you install PC Matic, it adds a browser extension to Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, pending your approval. The extension is, at its core, an ad- and tracker-blocking system, though it goes deeper than most.

It's likely that it's the cause of your issue especially if you don't know how to whitelist everything on YouTube,
