    Firefox Crashing of Startup


    Hi all
    Does anyone know what this is about; last couple days i've booted my machine, opened Firefox and it's repeatedly crashed. Event log has an event 2 for the Firefox Defaul Browser Agent that says "0x80070002 in RegistryDeleteValue:323".
    if i reboot the machine, firefox gives me a "couldn't restore your last session" but opens fine.

    The easiest solution is to just export your bookmarks then uninstall and reinstall Firefox.

    As Ghot states, easiest solution to uninstall and reinstall Firefox.

    Google error 0x80070002 and you will see there are many causes and solutions to solve, update issue among them. Insure your current Firefox and Windows System are current with updates. Also, run sfc/scannow.

    thanks for the replies. it started ok today but i've run sfc and it said it corrected some corruption, so i'll see how it goes.

This happens quite often and it seems to be connected to the flash player... so those facebook floating notifications and youtube stuff or google maps and generally pages with heavy flash content are very delicate and cause this horrible flashing....
