    Unwanted Profile Icon in Edge

I have just noticed that there is a Profile Icon, top left in the Title Bar in Edge. It may have been there for some time and I can see that it can be removed in Settings/Appearance. However, I am sure that the same Profile Icon superimposed on the Edge Icon on the Taskbar is new. I don't like this feature and I am not sure why the icon should be there. I don't know why I would need different profiles so, is there some way that the Icon can be removed from the Edge Icon on the Taskbar please? Win 10 V 22H2.

Another not-so-new small MS gimmick or 'benefit' for those who have configured an Edge profile.

    Just FYI see discussion here:
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...21e4857?page=1

    I noted:
If you have more than one profile configured in Edge, each taskbar icon will have the overlay to help you distinguish between profiles.
Maybe someone has come up with a way to remove it e.g. with Vivetool.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a bunch of threads on this.

    Covered in this tutorial:
How to Add a Profile in Microsoft Edge Chromium

where a screenshot shows what you're seeing.

    Either:

    Remove the profile

    or:

    Possible means to remove it:

Thank you Dalchina, most interesting and appreciated. I seem to have acquired two other profiles. I have no idea where they came from! I have removed them in settings and the profile icon has vanished from the Edge Icon on the taskbar.
