Hi Everyone. For some reason I cant set my default Mail Program in Win 10 ... I change it and it keeps coming up with errors. Even my Brother MFC7860 wont scan to an email. When I open a file right click and choose send to EMAIL same error. See photos. Am I missing something here?? TIA for any help!

Hi, it seems you're using something called 'Postbox' to handle mail. This is not a common client.

Two possibilities that could be causing what you see:
    a. If it does not support parameters, it can't be used in this way.
    b. Send to Mail Recipient is broken. (That can happen).

    Please try this:
    1. Create a shortcut to Postbox
    2. Open your Sendto folder
Press the Windows Key + R to trigger the Run window. At the Open field in the window, type
    shell:SendTo
and then click OK. File Explorer opens to the SendTo folder for your user account.

Paste the shortcut into that folder.

    Now try this:
Right click a file (e.g. a small txt file)
    Click Send to
    Click the shortcut to Postbox.

See if Postbox opens offering a dialogue to create a new email with your file attached.

Post screenshots as appropriate to illustrate the outcome.

Ok, that worked ! But still says I do not have a DEFAULT Mail program attached to this computer. Still get the error on the Bother MFC7860 when I scan to email. and also if I right click and go to MAIL same error.

Screenshot please. Right click what? I don't know what 'MAIL' is here. Thanks.

I don't know anything about that, sorry- too specific.

Is Postbox a portable program, or one you've installed?
I presume it's not an app from the Store...

What are .eml files associated with?

Problems: the Default Programs Editor (free) may be useful. You need to explore the different options carefully.
